A crocheted Jack O’ Lantern for J in the A-Z Blog Challenge
#PMTphotohunt @tonkstail “Manipulate” Joanie wouldn’t let Angel Lucy manipulate her with a dirty look.
I haven’t had much time to read between Christmas shopping, decorating and card writing. I am reading one fun book though on my Kindle. My Mom is going to get me the paperback for Christmas, but I am not a patient woman so I had to see it right away with The Kindle.
Makin’ Biscuits: Weird Cat Habits and the Even Weirder Habits of the Humans Who Love Them by Deborah Barnes is filled with wonderful antidotes than any cat parent will appreciate. And if you sometimes feel like you are a little crazy because of the extremes you will go through to please your cat, then this will make you feel “normal”.
I am honored that two of the stories I sent in were chosen. One is about my Angel Lucy and the other is about our Millie and what we do for him before he goes to bed.
You can get yours on Kindle or paperback at Amazon, it also makes a great gift for any cat lover on your gift list.
Lucy used to love to write to Santa. This is her letter in 2014, she wrote, ” Dear Santa, that elf you sent to spy on us sleeps with the fishes. Lucy”.
Hi everyone! I have a great giveaway starting today. Mom loves Halloween so much that we are doing two for Halloween. This one is black cat themed in celebration of the new book Layla of Cat Wisdom developed and edited to promote black cat adoptions called Black Cats Tell All.
The giveaway is for this beautiful catnip mat with black cats on it, a small purse with black cats( brown ones and grey ones too) on it, a black cat silicone trivet and a crocheted pumpkin. To enter, type black cats rock! in the comments ( you can write something else too, but that is all you need to enter). I will announce the winner on Tuesday.
I saw my Grammie yesterday. I love her so very much. I don’t think she loves me though, she didn’t bring me any treats.
The word for today in the #JHC Challenge is ghost.
Mom thought this photos of Lucy from 2010 would be perfect:
My sweet purrince wrote me a poem on Thursday, he is so romantic:
We are joining The Cat on My Head’s Sunday Selfies,
suck up Brody wants to wish all our Jewish friends a Shanah Tova! Mom made him his own yarmulke:
Today is Grandparent’s Day too and I want to wish my Grammie a Happy Grandparent’s Day! I love her so very, very much!
I want to thank all of you for harassing Mom about the treats, she changed her mind. She did say we should have a little less every day though- phooey!
We are joining The Cat on My Head Sunday Selfies Blog Hop.
And for P.S. Annie’s 19-Somethin Challenge the question is: What was your favorite music genre and what format did you listen to it ?
Would you believe my Mom used to listen to Motley Crue and Ratt? And Prince and Michael Jackson. She had some on albums and some on cassettes. Now she prefers Sinatra on CD.
Hi everyone! Today is Sammy’s Poetry Day featuring the letter L and my Mom has written a special poem, but first I want to clear something up. Some of you asked if Brody had a selfie on Monday. He did and I
purposely, accidentally omitted him. So for all you fans of the suck up, Brody here is his selfie.
Grammie was here on Wednesday, I love her so very much. And she brought
me us another pound of Party Mix.
Here is Mom’s poem about Lucy:
You loved to hiss
the litter box you’d often miss.
You were always on my lap
or on the bed we’d take a nap.
You always had lots of splainin to do,
you would have moved the football on Charlie Brown too.
My life is no longer the same,
I miss calling your name.
We had to say goodbye last Fall,
Lucy, I miss you most of all.
I can’t believe it has been almost a year since Lucy went to The Rainbow Bridge.
It is called 19-Somethin’ . The first question is :What movie could you, or did you see over and over again when you were a teenager? My Mom reminded me that when I was 13, I couldn’t stop watching Annie. When I was older, Dirty Dancing was watched countless times. And of course, Peggy Sue Got Married, my all time favorite movie and when I first fell in love with Nicolas Cage.
Mom also wants me to give you the fill-ins for tomorrow, she came up with the first 2 and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second 2.

Hi everyone! Phoebe’ s post has been preempted today for Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day. Last year, when we first posted on this day, I had no idea that soon after 3 of my furbabies would be at The Rainbow Bridge for this year’s remembrance day.
Thank you to Ann of Zoolatry for these beautiful graphics and for always making a special one for each pet that leaves us. And thank you to Deb Barnes of Zee and Zoey for creating this special day to remember our beloved pets ( not that we would ever forget).
Hi everyone! Today is Hug Your Cat Day, I think that should be every day, but I think most cats would disagree. I am glad I joined this last year because I rarely get in photos so I am glad to have one of Lucy and I:
We are joining Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop today with my mostly completed button art:
I also wanted to tell you about the button artist I gave you a link to last week. She recently participated in the Sing for Hope project to help bring art to children in need. 25 artists are chosen to each decorate a donated piano and she did hers all in buttons. These pianos will be all around NYC in June, to see her design click here.
Thank you to all who joined in the Friendly Fill-Ins yesterday. I am enjoying getting to learn more about everyone. Phoebe will be here tomorrow with a sign-up list for those traveling shades.
Hi everyone! I am not a Star Wars fan, my hubby and I are Trekkies, but I couldn’t resist a chance to show off this photo of Lucy from last year. Lucy as Princess Leia. I used pinwheel cookies and yes, I ate them after the photo shoot. Lucy retaliated with a pee on the bed that night, but I guess I deserved it.
I had a few stories left to read in that Chicken Soup book so I figured I would give them a chance and it just made me more mad. I went to that author’s website and she has the story on there so here is the link. She wrote about how good her cat was to tolerate her son using him as a basketball-can you believe it ? OK, I am done my rants for now.
Please purr and prayer for Ann of Zoolatry’s Zoey who is battling eye infections:
