Wordless Wednesday with a Twirl

We wonder if Sammy did a “twirl” like Kramer did on Seinfeld.

Happy Cinco De Mayo !

Hi everyone!! Happy Cinco De Mayo! And Grammie, thanks for not getting mad about my poem. I love you very much!

I apologize to all my fans, but I wasn’t very cooperative so Mom only got a 7 second video and I wouldn’t dance with my outfit on.

Now it is time for The Friendly Fill-Ins Week 52. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link at McGuffy’s Reader . You can also answer in the comment section.

4. I would like to update some rooms in our house, mostly painting, but also some catification.

The Nanny

Hi everyone! I am mad at my Mom!

She gave me a wet willie, you know when someone sticks a wet finger in your ear. She said it was thyroid medicine so I don’t have to take pills, but it sure felt funny.

Grammie is coming to see my today. I love her so very much and I haven’t seen her since Saturday so I am very thankful she will be here today.

And now for my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day, featuring the letter N.

The Nanny
In the 90’s Mom watched The Nanny
about a girl out on her fanny.
Mom liked it so much , she got this

her voice sounds worse than a hiss.

I think my Mom is crazy
and sometimes a bit lazy.

We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Mom is skipping the movie hop this week because the theme is ancient world and she doesn’t have any recommendations on those.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow, Mom came up with the first 2 and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second 2.

1. The oldest item in my home is __________________________.

2. The oldest item in my refrigerator is _____________________.

3. My family heritage is                                .

4. My favourite family tradition is                                .

We Won a SureFeed Sealed Pet Bowl!

Hi everyone! About a month ago, we were the lucky winners of a SureFeed Sealed Pet Bowl by SureFlap in a giveaway from our friends at Three Chatty Cats. It is very easy to use and comes with a manual that includes tips to train your cat to use it.

The tips were not needed with my cats, they all flocked to it and loved that it magically opens. It is very quiet so they were not afraid of it at all. I had hoped it would protect Snowball’s food, but once Joanie and Sammy know food is available, they don’t walk away until it is gone.

Here are 3 short videos:

If you have a kitty that likes to eat a little at a time, this would be perfect. It takes 4 C batteries. Thank you Three Chatty Cats!

Selfie Sunday with Phoebe

Hi everyone! I am having a great week. I got to see Grammie on Friday and look what she brought me us. I love her so very, very much.

Mom has gone crazy again and chopped up 7 more books. Plus she has been chasing us around the house to get photos of our Halloween costumes. I must say that I did a great job with mine- they will all be on display tomorrow. Look at all this nip Mom is drying and she has it in the dining room which is off-limits to us- phooey!

“The Great One” is going to be one on Tuesday. She has really cut into my Grammie time, but I feel bad for her because my Mom sings Soft Kitty to her all the time. And you know how bad my Mom sings. So I got her a birthday gift, a soft kitty with Penny’s voice singing ( not our Penny, the one from Big Bang Theory).

I decided to have a giveaway for The Day of the Dead even though we don’t celebrate it. We celebrate All Soul’s Day and All Saints Day, but they all recognize our departed loved ones.

100_9786  There is a catnip mat, a catnip ghost, a magnet and a button skull Mom made. Just comment on this post to be entered in the giveaway- I will announce the winner on Tuesday.

Pumpkin Book Art

Hi everyone! Grammie wants to thank everyone for the purrfect birthday wishes yesterday, she read them all and they made her very happy.

For Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop and for the #JHC, ( decoration is today’s word), I want to show you the pumpkin books I finally finished.

100_9730-1 100_9728-1I had been stressing about Joanie’s ear so I went a little crazy and made 10. I actually made 11, but I tried to dip one in diluted paint instead of spray painting and it did not go well. They were very easy to make, I found this video to have the best directions as well as a link to templates to use to cut out the books.

I used some larger paperbacks and some small ones. To decorate the smaller ones, I used a branch for the stem, on the larger ones, I painted it green on the book. I am hoping to make more this weekend. I have an old Grey’s Anatomy book I would like to make one for my Doctor with. I think it would be fun to match books with people’s interests to make them special.

Caturday Art

100_9749 Sammy got this cool neckerchief in the mail yesterday from Cat Scouts for participating in a Quest. He is very proud, it was his first quest.

Hangry Phoebe

Hi everyone! Do you get mean when you are hungry? Mom says I get Hangry and beat up poor Prancie, I say she is hangry too-what do you think?

Notice the baseball game on in the background. Dad watches that a lot, I feel bad for Tommy John, it seems like he is always having surgery.

I got to see my Grammie on Wednesday. I love her so very much. I will see her again on Saturday too.

For Sammy’s Poetry Day, featuring the letter J, I have written a poem about Joanie
Joanie is a cat
she is a brat
Sure she is sweet
and very neat
but with food
she is quite rude
if you have a snack
she will give you a smack

I am also joining P.S. Annie’s Throwback Thursday Blog Hop and I want to wish her a Happy Birthday too! throwback

This photo was taken in 2008, sadly I am the only one left of the bunch in this photo. My sisters, KaChoo, Lucy and Stinky have all abandoned me.

Mom asked me to give you the fill-ins for tomorrow, I think she should pay me in treats for doing that. Mom came up with the first 2 and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second 2.

1. When I run out of ___________________, I use ___________________ instead.
2. My guru is _______________.

3. I am afraid of                            .

4. I feel empowered                                 .

Read Me a Story

Hi everyone! June 13th was Read Me a Story Day hosted by Piglove and Gentlestitches. My hubby reads to Prancie, she only likes one book about a spider. Here is a video of their reading session, she was a little antsy because it was dinner time.

We were very sad to see some losses in the Blogosphere. Daddy Cat from Jacqueline’s Cat House had  gone to The Bridge. I pray that Mommy Cat will be OK as I am sure she is heartbroken along with his family. Daddy-Cat-Forever

And I am sure you all know that wise and handsome Merlin has also left this world at the age of 21. His Mom is starting a Kickstarter campaign for a book that is going to help bring awareness to the often overlooked black cats. I am pledging my support in memory of Merlin and my beloved Spooky. Friendly Fill-Ins Week 5

Hi everyone! Time for Friendly Fill-Ins Week 5 for tomorrow. I came up with the first 2

and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second 2. And remember, if you don’t have a blog, feel free to answer in the comment section.

1. I used to love to eat _____________________, but now it  repulses me.

2. I would never eat _______________________, but now I love it.
3. I always cry                     .
4.                           always makes me laugh.
Here are my answers:
1. I used to love to eat canned corned beef hash, but now it repulses me.
2. I would never eat  Polish Borscht ( not the beet kind), this is a broth made with the juice of fermented oats. You add boiled eggs, mashed potatoes, mushrooms, kielbasa and horseradish to it. My hubby makes it for Easter and Christmas, but now I love it.
3. I always cry at weddings during the father/daughter dance. Especially when they dance to I Loved Her First. I was blessed that my Dad was still alive when I got married and despite us both being shy we managed to dance to Daddy’s Little Girl. This song came out later:
 4. The Trout Talkin Tabbies post every Thursday always makes me laugh.
